PLYMOUTH, Mass. (AP) – A Framingham man allegedly kidnapped a woman and her 2-year-old son and took them to a Plymouth motel where he is accused of repeatedly raping the woman over two days, police said Tuesday.

Police descended on the motel and arrested Evandro F. Doirado after the woman silently mouthed “help me” and the name of the motel to a liquor store clerk.

The clerk immediately called police, and Doirado, 28, was arrested as they pulled back into the motel on Monday night.

“As they pulled in, we were right there,” Plymouth Police Capt. Michael Botieri said.

Doirado pleaded innocent on Tuesday to aggravated rape and kidnapping charges and was being held on $500,000 bail.

Investigators said he carjacked the 25-year-old mother and son at knifepoint in the parking lot of a Wal-Mart in Framingham on Sunday.

“He didn’t know her at all. He just grabbed her,” Botieri said.

He took them to the Pilgrim Sands Motel, near Plymouth Beach, where he raped the woman and repeatedly threatened to kill the child, according to police.

“Everything was at knifepoint,” Botieri said.

On Monday night, the man took the woman to a nearby liquor store twice, but was turned away both times because neither of them had a license, The Patriot Ledger of Quincy reported.

On the second visit, the woman mouthed the words, “Help me. Help me. Pilgrim Sands,” to the clerk.
