BETHEL – Advance tickets for the eighth annual New Year’s Bethel are available at Maine Line Products in Locke Mills, the Bethel Citizen office, the Bethel Area Chamber of Commerce and at the museum shop at the Bethel Historical Society’s Robinson House.

If bought in advance, the tickets are $10 for adults and $8 for students ( ages 6 to 18). At the door, tickets will be $12 and $10 respectively.

This year’s event is sponsored by the Bethel Historical Society with assistance from the Mahoosuc Arts Council, Gould Academy, the Bethel Area Chamber of Commerce and the West Parish Congregational Church.

It will offer a variety of family entertainment in a chem-free environment. Venues will include Fred Garbo (inflatable theater), State Street Jazz Band, Three Wheel Drive (folk music), Maine humorist Joe Perham, and Ti’Acade Contra Dancing.

There also will be a children’s dragon parade, marshmallow roasting on the town common, wagon rides, refreshments and a bell ringing at the town clock.

Sponsors are still being sought.

For individuals the levels are benefactor, $500 or more; patron, $200 to $499; sustainer, $100 to $199; and contributor, any amount below $100.
