AUBURN – Mary Lewis netted 12 points to pace St. Dom’s to a 47-34 victory over North Yarmouth Academy in girl’s basketball action Thursday. Malley O’Shea and Abby Gilbert chipped in for the Saints (2-1) with eight points each.

Erin Lachance led NYA (0-5) with a 12-point performance, while Katie Knight added seven. St. Dom’s jumped out to a 21-7 lead in the first quarter and was never seriously challenged.

Poland 50, Freeport 39

FREEPORT – Sophomore guard Danielle Belanger came off the bench to drain 13 points and lead Poland to a 50-39 win over Freeport in WMC girls’ basketball action Thursday.

Junior forward Kathryn Hall recorded a double-double with 12 points and 21 rebounds for the Knights (2-4). Poland made their move in the third quarter, connecting for five of their six 3-point field goals to take a 37-28 lead into the final frame.
