BANGOR – James H. Fitch Sr., 81, died Dec. 20, peacefully in his sleep at his Bangor home.
He was born June 19, 1924, in Orono, the son of Albert and Emma (Leeson) Fitch. He grew up in New Sharon and married the late Maryann Pluta Fitch. He then moved to Bangor.
After serving in the U.S. Army in Japan during World War II, he was a dairy farmer and worked for the U.S. Postal Service, retiring after 30 years. His most special moments were spending time with his family.
