POLAND SPRING – Stacy L. Dumont, 38, of Whales Back Drive in Poland Spring, entered into the Kingdom of God early Wednesday morning, Dec. 21, at her home, with her husband, family and close friends at her side.

She was born in Lewiston on May 7, 1967, the daughter of James and Judith Guimond Smyth. She was educated in local schools, graduated from Edward Little High School in 1985 and remained a lifelong resident of the community.

On June 28, 1997, she married her high school sweetheart, Roland Dumont, and settled in Poland Spring. For the last 20 years, Stacy worked in legal services as a legal secretary, first spending some years at Fales & Fales, and later working several years and most recently for Hornblower Lynch Rabasco and Van Dyke.

She was a member of Grace Lutheran Church and was very proactive with local breast cancer awareness organizations. She also was very involved in running the committee for her high school reunions. Among her favorite enjoyments were sewing, crocheting, spending time at the beach and ocean, camping and tending to her flower gardens. But most of all she loved her husband, son, family and many friends. She will be sadly missed by all.

She leaves her husband, Roland Dumont of Poland Spring; a son Branden, also of Poland Spring; her parents, James and Judith Smyth of Poland Spring; a brother, Jamie Smyth and wife, Darcy, of Auburn; her maternal grandmother, Edie Wright of Bingham; a sister-in-law, Bonnie Gallop and Norman Savard of Lewiston, a brother-in-law, Bill Dumont and wife, Laurie, of Minot; brother-in-law, Richard Libby and wife, Heidi, of Greene; brother-in-law, Gordon Libby of Auburn; and two longtime special friends, Cathy Hall Gagnon of Poland and Kathy Loonie Landry of Lewiston.

She was predeceased by her maternal grandfather, Rosaire Guimond; her paternal grandparents, Bill and Arlene Smyth; and her mother-in-law and father-in-law, Audrey and Lucien Dumont.
