EAST LIVERMORE – Thomas W. Reckards, 60, of East Livermore, died at his home on Friday, Dec. 23, after battling with cancer.
Tom was born in Turner on April 26, 1945, the son of Linda Reckards and the late Robert Reckards.
He was a woodsman all his life, until his illness took over. He enjoyed being with his family and his many friends, whom he always challenged to a good cribbage game.
He is survived by his mother, Linda of East Livermore; his sister, Martha, who was his caregiver, and her husband, Bill, Janet and her husband, Doug Nile, Annie and her husband, Randy Nightingale, Mona Nile and her fianc, David Farington; brothers, Earle and Eric; a son, Tom Rose; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his father, Robert; two nephews, Dana and Dwayne; and both sets of grandparents.
