BRUNSWICK – Frank N. Frangis, 77, formerly of Rexford, N.Y., passed away on Thursday, Dec. 22, in Brunswick.

He was born in Manchester, N.H., on Nov. 27, 1928, the son of Nicholas and Artemis Chakas Frangis. He graduated with an associate’s degree from Wentworth Institute and a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from Michigan State University.

He worked as a purchasing manager in gas turbine for General Electric. After 35 years of service, he retired in 1992 and moved to Phippsburg.

Surviving are his widow, Rebecca Feretos Frangis; two sons, Nicholas and wife, Martina, of Franklin, Mass., and Charles of Boston, Mass.; and two grandchildren, Peter and Alexander.
