RUMFORD – A Mass of Christian Burial for Arthur S. Sanchas of Rumford was celebrated at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Dec. 24, at St. Athanasius and St. John Church, with the Rev. Angelo LeVasseur as celebrant.

Organist was Mark Belanger. Alter server was George Gionet. Readers were his granddaughter, Catherine Cavallaro, and greatgrandson, Matthew Corbeau. The eulogy was given by his wife, Dorothy Sanchas. Pallbearers were Louis Sanchas, Catherine Rand, Maureen Desjardins, Mary Pride, Rosemary Russell, Laurence Sanchas, Joseph Sanchas and James Sanchas.

Interment in the spring will be at St. John Cemetery, Rumford.

A reception followed at St. Athanasius and St. John Church Parish Hall.
