Lewiston – William Denehy has been named senior vice president and head of retail banking for Androscoggin Bank. Denehy is responsible for all aspects of retail banking including business development, marketing, sales management, and strategic planning and implementation.

Denehy has more than 20 years’ experience in the banking industry. He most recently served as senior vice president/retail banking and marketing at South Shore Co-Operative Bank in Weymouth, Mass. Before that, he held senior level positions at Citizens Bank in Manchester, N.H., and at BayBanks Inc., in Waltham, Mass.

Denehy holds a master’s degree in business administration from Boston College and a bachelor of science degree in finance from the University of Connecticut.

Oliveira becomes asthma educator

LEWISTON – Kevin Oliveira has accepted the community asthma educator position within the Clinical Services Division of the Sisters of Charity Health System.

Oliveira will be responsible for managing all aspects of this new prevention and wellness initiative including patient and provider education and community outreach, while working closely with Community Clinical Services, MaineHealth and the Maine Bureau of Health.

Most recently, he worked in St. Mary’s Regional Medical Center’s Radiology/Cardiac Catheterization Department as a registered nurse. He also holds a degree in community health education. He will assume his new role Jan. 4.
