FARMINGTON – Peter R. Buzzell, 51, of Farmington, passed away Dec. 27, at his home surrounded by his family.
He was born in Farmington on June 25, 1954, the son of Richard and Mary Thea (Sinskie) Buzzell. He was educated in the schools of Farmington and graduated from Mt. Blue High School.
He married Cher LaCourse on Dec. 20, 2002, in Jay.
He owned an Amoco service station for two years, worked 26 years in law enforcement and was most recently self-employed as an automotive machinist at Cylinder Head Service of Maine, which will be carried on by his wife, Cher.
He was in the U.S. Air Force for six years, stationed in the American southwest and Europe. He was also a member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church. He was a skilled machinist, avid car enthusiast and pet lover, with a kind and gentle nature.
He is survived by his loving and devoted wife, Cher; his mother, Mary Buzzell of Farmington; his daughter, Patty Haggan and her husband, Jon, of Farmington; his stepson, Roger LaCourse and his wife, Cadi, of Temple; his grandson, Alex Haggan; his brother, Charlie Buzzell and his wife, Helen, of Industry; his niece, Sheri Barich and her husband, Tom, of Wisconsin; his nephew, Chris Buzzell and his wife, Zuzana, of New Hampshire; his Himalayan Persian cat; and 10 cockatiels.
He was predeceased by his father, Richard.
