AUBURN – Cindy Larock, multicultural director of the new Marsden Hartley Center at the Lewiston Public Library, entertained the children at Temple Shalom Preschool recently.

Larock was the featured guest at the preschool’s open house, which was a success. She played music and read stories to a packed room of children and their guests, as well as the public.

The purpose of the open house was to let families and the public see what Temple Shalom Preschool is all about. It is a social skills-based school open to children of all faiths and cultures.

Temple Shalom is also opening its doors to a younger crowd.

As of Jan. 1, children who turn 3 by that date can enroll in the Tuesday/Thursday program.
