PORTLAND – “Baby With The Bathwater,” Christopher Durang’s 1984 black comedy about the perils of childhood, the horrors of incompetent parents and the terror of a relentless nanny, will be presented in the Portland Performing Arts Center’s Studio Theater starting Jan. 28.

The cast features company members Craig Bowden, David Currier, Christine Louise Marshall and Lisa Muller-Jones and guest artist Nancy Brown. Mad Horse Emeriti Joan Sand directs.

The design team includes company member Barb Truex (sound), Max Jones (set and props), Joan Sand (lights), and James Herrera and Liz Chambers (costumes).

“Baby With The Bathwater” previews are Thursday and Friday, Jan. 26 and 27. The show will open Saturday, Jan. 28, and run through Sunday, Feb. 19.

Shows will be Thursdays at 7:30 p.m.; Fridays at 8 p.m.; Saturdays at 8 p.m.; Sundays Jan. 29, Feb. 5 and 12, at 7 p.m., and Feb. 19, at 5 p.m.

Regular ticket price is $16; preview performances, $10. Buy one get one free on Feb. 2 and 9; pay what you can Jan. 29 and Feb. 5. Seating is limited.
