AUBURN – The Independent Pocket Billiards League continues to grow. When the league first started 10 years ago, there were 6 teams. When the new winter season begins on January 12 there will be 35 clubs entered.

An organizational meeting has been scheduled for Tuesday, Jan. 3 at 6:30 p.m. at New Auburn Social Club. Captains are urged to pick up rosters before the meeting at Andy’s, fill them out and bring them to the meeting along with the $6 player fee for each new person on the roster.

When the new league starts, the top division will be playing with no handicaps. The 8-ball on the break will not be a win or a loss in the top division only. More information is available by calling Joe Walker at 333-8237, or 782-9044 (evenings).
