LEWISTON – Margaret A. Harding, 85, formerly of Turner Square Apartments and Bolster Heights, died Thursday afternoon, Dec. 29, at Marshwood Health Care Facility.

Born in Newark, N.J., on Nov. 14, 1920, she was the daughter of Arthur T. and Kathryn E. Gargan Tully. She was educated in both New Jersey and Maine schools.

In 1943, she married James Anthony O’Callaghan. He died in 1946. She later married Clarence Oscar Harding in 1967. He died in 1974.

She worked various jobs, including Billen Shoe in the packing department and as a librarian at McMahon Elementary School. She enjoyed ceramics, sewing and going out.

Survivors include her son, James O’Callaghan and his wife, Barbara, of Buford, Ga.; her daughter, Margaret Tilley and her husband, Cecil, of North Turner; nine grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; a sister, Kathryn P. Dunn of Turner; and many nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by brothers, Arthur T., John E., and Edward J. Tully; and a granddaughter, Rebekah O’Callaghan.
