BANGOR (AP) – A suspicious bag found in a truck led to a street closing and a heightened alert Friday, authorities said.

The commotion began when a man walked into the Bangor police station around 7:30 a.m. to report what he had discovered – a bag containing a cardboard roll with a fuse coming out of it.

Working with their counterparts in Brewer, Bangor police tracked down a youth who left the bag in the truck and he confirmed that it contained fireworks.
