TOPSHAM – Yvette J. Bourgoin, 82, of Montello Heights, 550 College St., died peacefully Friday, Dec. 30, at Amenity Manor Nursing Center.
She was born in Lewiston on July 4, 1923, the daughter of Louis Rivard and Daisy Gagne Rivard. She was educated in the Lewiston schools, and was married to Francis J. “Frank” Bourgoin.
She had been employed at the Hill Division of Bates Manufacturing Co. and retired from Kaiser Shoe Co. in 1960.
She was a member of the Basilica of Saints Peter and Paul and enjoyed playing beano, cards and trips to Foxwoods.
She is survived by a sister, Terry Labrecque of Brockton, Mass.; two brothers, Normand Rivard and his wife, Claudette, and Ronald Rivard, all of Lewiston; as well as many nieces and nephews.
She was mourning the loss of her only child, Emile L. Bourgoin, on July 7; she was also predeceased by her husband, who died April 23, 1976; a brother, Marcel Rivard; and a sister, Monita Letourneau.
