AUBURN – Margaret Crane Harris, 90, of 440 Minot Ave., Auburn, died Saturday, Dec. 31, following a long illness.

She was most recently a resident of Clover Health Care in Auburn for three years, after having lived in East Hartford, Conn., for 51 years.

She was born on Aug. 30, 1915, in Auburn, the daughter of John F. and Irma (Mitchell) Crane of Mechanic Falls. She was a graduate of Mechanic Falls High School in 1932.

In 1938, she married George M. Harris of Auburn. They had one daughter, Elaine H. Stover, of West Bath.

In 1951, she moved to East Hartford, Conn., where she lived until 2002, then she moved to Auburn.

She was a member of the Order of Eastern Star in Glastonbury, Conn., since 1958.

She was a lifelong member of the Methodist Church.

She is survived by her daughter Elaine Stover and her husband, Jerrold, of West Bath; a grandson, Jason C. Stover of Topsfield, Mass.; a granddaughter, Susanne M. Stover of Hollywood Hills, Calif.; a great-granddaughter, Sean C. Stover, and a great-grandson, Aidan C. Stover, both of Topsfield, Mass.

She was predeceased by her husband, George M. Harris, in 2004; and three brothers, Roger, Sidney and Earl Crane.
