Club potluck

NEW VINEYARD – The New Vineyard North snowmobile club will meet at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 3, at Smith Hall. There will be a potluck meal, and members are asked to bring something to share.

Members are also reminded to bring an item for the Fairbanks Food Cupboard such as canned goods, mixes or toilet items. Guests are welcome.

Rabies clinic

LIVERMORE – The Livermore Fire Department will host a rabies clinic from 10:30 a.m. to noon Saturday, Jan. 7, at the fire station. The cost will be $10.

The clinic is open to dogs and cats from area communities. The town office will be open for Livermore residents to license their pets. Proceeds will go to the thermal imaging camera fund.

Chowder lunch

FARMINGTON – A free fish chowder luncheon with all the fixings will be served from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. each Thursday from Jan. 5 to March 30 at the Trinity United Methodist Church, Farmington Falls Road. All are welcome.

Take-out meal

NEW SHARON – A family baked bean take-out meal will be offered from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday, Jan. 7, at the New Sharon Congregational United Church of Christ, Cape Cod Hill Road.

The meal includes a quart of baked beans, a pint of coleslaw, yeast rolls or brown bread and a family-size homemade pie for $12.

Basket Bingo

FARMINGTON – Basket Bingo with Longaberger basket prizes will be offered Sunday, Jan. 15, at the Farmington Elks Lodge in West Farmington to benefit the United Way of the Tri-Valley Area. Doors will open at 11:30 a.m. and games will start at 1 p.m. Door prizes, raffles, 50/50 and Longaberger baskets will also be available.

The event is sponsored by Farmington Elks Lodge 2430. Admission is $15 a person; no one under 16 will be admitted. For tickets or more information, contact Nancy Morgan or Belinda Lilley at 778-5048.

Church supper

WILTON – The First Apostolic Church on Routes 2 and 4 will hold a public supper from 4 to 6 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 7, at the church to help with the church building fund. The menu will include baked beans, hot dogs, salads, coleslaw, casseroles and desserts. Cost is adults, $5; children, $3.

Free yoga class

RANGELEY – Beginners will be offered a free yoga class at the Barn, adjacent to the Congregational Church, during January. Anyone new to the class that meets at 10 a.m. Tuesdays, except the second Tuesday of the month, may participate in the first class without charge. There is no obligation to continue.

Newcomers will not be charged for their first class at the Opportunity Center in Avon at 5:15 p.m. Tuesdays, Jan. 17 through 31. The center will have an open house on Saturday, Jan. 14. A free raffle will give anyone interested the opportunity to win a yoga mat and strap. For more information, phone 639-2713.
