FORT KENT – Gilman Daigle, 79, of Wallagrass, died Dec. 30, at a Fort Kent Health Care Facility.

He was born in New Canada Plt., Oct. 28, 1926, the son of Willie and Flevoie (Pelletier) Daigle. He served in the Army Air Corp during World War II.

He worked for Connecticut Light and Power until his retirement.

He is survived by his six children, Roland, of Rapid City, S.D., Clayton, of Wolcott, Conn., Alan P., of Southbury, Conn., David, of Naugatuck, Conn., Carol Daigle, of St. Petersburg, Fla., and Karen Daigle, of Waterbury, Conn.; seven brothers, Edmund, of St. John, Norman, of Soldier Pond, Albert, of Marlboro, Conn., Wilfred, of Waterford, N.Y., Leo Paul, of Glens Falls, N.Y., Philip, of Anvil Park, N.Y., and Berthol, of Lisbon; three sisters, Rinette Lamore, of Southington, Conn., Yvette Levesque, of Windsor, Conn., and Bernette Daigle, of Bristol, Conn.; 13 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
