AUBURN – Auburn Savings is looking for local artists interested in displaying their art in the bank’s lobbies at its main office at 256 Court St. and its branch office at 325 Sabattus St., Lewiston.
The creative work of several local residents has been featured at the bank since it adopted its “Art of Banking” theme in 2004.
“We feel that it’s important to provide local artists with the opportunity to display their works, and to give the public an opportunity to experience the creative output of this community,” said Allen Sterling, president and CEO. “We’ve had positive comments from our customers, some of whom have even purchased individual pieces. The way we see it, this is a winning situation for everyone concerned.”
Anyone interested in displaying paintings, quilts, pottery or sculptures and other three-dimensional works is invited to call Allen Sterling at 782-0400.
