• Gerald K. Paine, 78, of Madison suffered cuts and bruises in an accident on Route 2 when he lost control of his 2002 Chevrolet SUV at 2:30 p.m. on Dec. 26. The vehicle crossed the travel lane, then flipped onto its roof. Road conditions were slippery. The vehicle was destroyed.

• Beverly M. Cantin, 59, of Spring Street, Mexico, struck a dog with her 2003 Chrysler sedan at 5:05 p.m. Dec. 28 on the Auburn Road in Peru. Cantin was not injured, and her vehicle was not damaged. Peru’s Animal Control Officer, Dan Carrier, handled the injured animal.
