Making list

DIXFIELD – Dixfield Elementary School is in the process of compiling student lists for entry into the kindergarten class in the fall. Anyone who lives in Carthage or Dixfield and has a child who will be age 5 on or before Oct. 15, 2006, is asked to notify the school at 562-4207. It will help the school plan the kindergarten program.

RUMFORD – Men and women of the class of 1952 from Stephens High School will meet at 11:30 a.m. Monday, Jan. 9, for the monthly luncheon at the River Valley Grill on Exchange Street. All class members are welcome. Call Barbara at 364-3470 to make reservations.

Luncheon meet

RUMFORD – The Mexico High School class of 1959 will have a luncheon meeting at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 10, at the Candlepin Cafe, Rumford Bowling Alley.

Circle shower

RUMFORD – St. Timothy Circle 504, Daughters of Isabella, will meet at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 10, at the parish center. The baby shower gifts that are to be brought to the meeting do not have to be wrapped.

Committee will be Chairwoman Pauline Buckingham, with Florence Bouchard, Rita Myles, Elizabeth Stoklas and Myrtle McKenna.

The dues of $15 are payable for 2006 and can be paid at the meeting to Andrea Gurney.

Club to meet

ROXBURY – The Slippery Sliders Snowmobile Club will meet at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 10, at the fire station. Members are asked to attend.

Noon lunch

MEXICO – Greater Rumford Area Ministers’ Pantry Service will serve a free lunch at noon Wednesday, Jan. 11, at the town hall.

Blood drive

BETHEL – An American Red Cross blood drive will be held from 1 to 6 p.m. Friday, Jan. 13, at the South Ridge Mahoosic Room.
