AUBURN – Central Maine Community College will offer high pressure boiler and propane/natural gas technician courses starting Jan. 19.

High Pressure Boiler (ENT 022-21) will be held from 6 to 9 p.m. Thursdays, Jan. 19 to April 6. Students will learn the techniques to operate and maintain a steam generating plant in a safe and efficient manner.

The course is designed to prepare the student for the high pressure boiler operator licensing examination. The cost is $418 and includes the books.

Propane/natural gas technician courses will begin Jan. 17. Basic Principles and Practices (CTP 001-21) will run Jan. 17 through 26. It is a prerequisite course for all classes.

Appliance Installation (CTP 002-21) will be held Jan. 31 through Feb. 11; Appliance Service (CTP 005-21), Feb. 14 through 25; and Distribution (CTP 004-21), Feb. 28 through March 16. At the end of each class the state licensing exam will be administered.

All classes will run from 5 to 9 p.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays and 8 a.m. to noon Saturdays; costs range from $418 to $544. For a detailed schedule, pricing and descriptions, visit www.cmcc.edu/training or call 755-5280.
