LEWISTON – The wedding of Melissa Damren and Zack Delehanty was held at 5 p.m. on June 25 at the Bates College chapel. Jon Pinette, notary public and friend of the couple, officiated at the ceremony.
Mrs. Delehanty is the daughter of Dana and Janet Damren of Augusta. Mr. Delehanty is the son of Harry and Cheryl Stilphen of Dade City, Fla., and Larry Delehanty of Lewiston.
The bride, given in marriage by her father, wore an ivory “poly organza” gown with spaghetti straps, Princess-line skirt with delicately beaded embroidery in lavender with a camisole neckline with beaded sheer band and a chapel-length train. She carried a large bouquet of lavender and white roses, alstromeria, lavender freesia and caspia.
Brooke Trytek, friend of the bride, was matron of honor, and bridesmaids were Kristina Roderick, sister of the bride, and Amy Therrien and Jennifer Jordan, friends of the bride.
Christopher Richard performed the duties of best man for his friend, and ushers were Kevin Bilodeau, Christopher Gousse and Jason Gousse, friends of the bridegroom.
A reception followed at Hilton Garden Inn in Auburn, after which the couple traveled to Aruba. The couple is residing in Auburn, where they plan to build a house.
The bride is a 1996 graduate of Cony High School in Augusta and a 1999 graduate of Central Maine Technical College with an associate degree in nursing. She plans to receive her bachelor’s degree in nursing in May and then begin her master’s degree in nursing in the summer of 2006. She is employed as a registered nurse at d’Youville Pavilion on the hospice floor.
The bridegroom is a 1998 graduate of Lewiston High School and attended Central Maine Community College and received an apprenticeship at Wahlcometroflex in Lewiston in 2002. He is aftermarket sales/service coordinator of the field service department at Wahlcometroflex.
