LEWISTON – The wedding of Shelly D. Maheux and Richard LeBlond Jr. was held at 11:30 a.m. on Aug. 20 at the Ramada Inn in Lewiston. Carol Proteau, notary public, officiated at the ceremony.

Mrs. LeBlond is the daughter of Henry and Anita Maheux of Lewiston. Mr. LeBlond is the son of Carlene LeBlond of Lewiston and Richard LeBlond of Auburn.

The bride, given in marriage by her father, carried a cascade of daisies and purple and lavender white roses.

A sister of the bride, Tina Finch, was maid of honor, and bridesmaids were Christine Gravel, best friend, and Tia LeBlond, daughter of the bridegroom. Riann LeBlond, daughter of the couple, was flower girl.

Patrick Bourassa performed the duties of best man for his friend, and ushers were Scott Maheux, brother of the bride, and Steven LeBlond, brother of the bridegroom. Janae Rainey, niece, carried silver plated roses, which consisted the rings.

A reception followed at the Ramada Inn, after which the couple traveled to New Hampshire, Washington, D.C., Pennsylvania and Connecticut. They are residing in Auburn.

The bride is a student at L-A College, studying for her bachelor’s degree in social behavioral science. She is employed at Lever’s Day Care.

The bridegroom is a self-employed contractor.
