I’m disappointed in the Sun Journal’s waffling and equivocation in its editorial Jan 3 concerning the Beaulieu family’s stalemate with the owners of Evergreen Subaru. And I hope that the editorial isn’t evidence of a blurring between the editorial and advertising sides of the Sun Journal.
For the owners of the new dealership to claim that they simply don’t have enough money to pay fair market value to the Beaulieus is laughable and shameful. Am I expected to believe that three men, wealthy enough to purchase a franchise from Subaru, don’t have enough money to fairly compensate the Beaulieus?
Any desire I had to purchase an all-wheel drive vehicle from Auburn’s new Subaru dealer has just evaporated.
