WATERFORD – Former Congressman David Emery, a candidate for Maine governor in the June 2006 Republican primary, will be the featured speaker at the Tuesday, Jan. 10, meeting of the Republican Committee at the North Waterford Congregational Church, Route 35, North Waterford.

A 5:30 p.m. social hour will be followed by a 6:30 p.m. dinner, after which Emery will speak and a short business meeting will be held. The committee will also consider some changes in the bylaws.

All area Republicans are encouraged to attend and get involved in the process of choosing the party’s nominee.

There will be no regular meeting in February as the annual Lincoln Day dinner will be held on Saturday, Feb. 18, at the Four Seasons Restaurant in South Paris.
