NEW YORK (AP) – A Mastic man died after being shot in the chest with an arrow, and his alleged attacker was arrested on murder charges, police said Monday.

Juan Carlos Munoz, 27, was shot Sunday evening in front of a home in the Long Island community, said Suffolk County Officer Al Prim. The man accused in the attack, Thomas Sirico, lives at the address.

Sirico, 34, was arrested on charges of second-degree murder and was to be arraigned Monday, Prim said.

Munoz had been visiting friends when he was shot.
