WATERFORD-The Oxford County Sheriff’s Department is investigating an accident on Mill Hill Road here Monday night that reportedly caused the area to lose power for about an hour around 8:30 p.m.
According to Deputy Gary Hill, a 1994 Jeep Wrangler driven by Michael Holden, 23, of the Bridgton area, went off a slushy, but sanded Mill Hill Road and severed a utility pole. He and his passenger, Christa Parker, no address given, got themselves out of the vehicle and caught a ride from a passing motorist to Holden’s grandparents house, Ronald and Barbara Holden of Bridgton, Hill said.
According to Hill, Ronald Holden went to the scene of the crash, while Barbara Holden took Michael Holden and Parker to be checked out at the Bridgton Hospital. The two were later treated and released from Central Maine Medical Center.
