AUBURN – Sophomore forward Katie Landry drained a game-high nine points to lead St. Dom’s to a 53-31 triumph over Traip in WMC girls’ basketball action Tuesday.

The Saints (6-2) controlled the boards, with junior forward Noelle Duncanson recording 10 rebounds to go along with her seven points.

The Rangers (4-5) recovered a bit of turf in the fourth quarter with an 18-13 run. Lauren Lemieux led Traip with eight points.

Dirigo 54, Carrabec 16

DIXFIELD – Michelle Holmquist drained 22 points and pulled down 12 rebounds to lead Dirigo to a 54-16 victory over Carrabec in an MVC basketball matchup Tuesday. Nikki Kaulback chipped in for the Cougars (7-1) with 12 points and four assists.

Dirigo jumped out to a 20-3 lead in the first quarter and quickly put the game out of reach.

Tiffany Gurney led the Cobras (1-8) with five points, while Kristina Earle added four.

Oxford Hills 58, Leavitt 36

SOUTH PARIS – Terry Bunce scored a game-high 13 points to lead Oxford Hills to a 58-36 victory over Leavitt in a class A girls’ basketball game Tuesday.

Kayla Martin and Katie Martin scored 12 points apiece for the Vikings (9-2). Brittany Duncan scored 12 points for the Hornets.

The Vikings outscored Leavitt 19-6 in the third quarter to pull away.

Telstar 52, Livermore Falls 50

BETHEL – Foul shots were the difference as Telstar edge Livermore Falls 52-50 in MVC girls’ basketball Tuesday night.

The Rebels (7-2) were paced by sisters Bailey Davis with 18 and Chea Davis with 10.

The Andies (8-2) were led by Rachel Ventrella with 14 points.

Mt. View 53, Oak Hill 38

SABATTUS – Kelsey Richard dropped a game-high 25 points to power Mt. View to a 53-38 victory over Oak Hill.

Oak Hill scored 22 of their 38 in the fourth quarter.

Alexis Bennett chipped in for Mt. View with eight points. The Mt. View defense limited Oak Hill to nine points at halftime.

Kristen Eaton and Emily Sabine each scored nine points and pulled down nine rebounds for Oak Hill (1-8).

Maranacook 45, Belfast 36

READFIELD – Senior forward Jackie Mrazik stepped up to the plate with a game-high 22 points, including five free throws in the final 1:03, to lead Maranacook to a 45-36 win over Belfast in KVAC girls’ basketball action Tuesday.

The Lions (5-4) tied the contest at 30-30 in the opening seconds of the fourth quarter, before Mrazik scored three consecutive field goals for the Black Bears (4-5) on offensive rebounds. Senior guard Shannon Bean contributed 13 points.

Junior guard Stephanie Whittier paced the Lions with 10 points in the losing effort.

Monmouth 67, Georges Valley 40

MONMOUTH – Jenn Lola poured in 19 points to lead Monmouth to a 67-40 victory over Georges Valley. Lola also grabbed 11 rebounds, while Brittany Scirica pitched in with 14 points for the Mustangs (3-6).

Sam Buchannon, Selina Staples and Meghan Schooley scored seven points apiece in the loss for Georges Valley (1-8).

Jay 54, Madison 52

MADISON – Kaylie DeMillo dropped in 17 points Tuesday night as Jay edged Madison 54-52 in MVC girls’ hoops matchup.

Jess Labrecque chipped in for the Tigers (7-3) with 14 points, while Liz Leblanc added 11.

Margo Russell led the Bulldogs (5-4) with a game-high 20 points, 14 of which came at the free-throw line. Briann Emery chipped in with 12 points, the only other player to reach double digits.

The Tigers trailed by three points at the half, then went on a 12-8 run in the third quarter to pull back into contention.

Wiscasset 48, Lisbon 44

WISCASSET – Sarah Pierce poured in 25 points Tuesday night to propel Wiscasset to a 48-44 victory over Lisbon.

Wiscasset held a 20-14 lead after the first half, were outscored by two points in the third, then held steady in the fourth to notch the victory.

Pierce was a one-girl show for the Redskins (1-8), helping her squad pick up its first win of the season.

Emily Moore led the Greyhounds (0-9) with 11 points, while Mindy Sullivan added 10.
