AUBURN – Prior to starting the New Year’s resolution diets, the Lewiston/Auburn Toastmasters participated in a take-out buffet followed by the regular program of speeches and evaluations recently.

Andie Locke was the first-place winner of the formal speeches with her presentation of how love and gratitude can change the internal structure of water and rice. Jim Nesbitt won the trophy for the extemporaneous speech session. Joyce Kennedy was chosen the best evaluator.

Toastmasters will meet again at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 17, in the conference room of the Auburn Police Station. Guests are welcome. For more information, call Kathleen at 212-0760 or check the Web site at www.LAToastmasters.org.
