• The theft of about $4,000 in cash was reported at 5:17 a.m. Jan. 2, from the Mobil Station on Main Street. The incident is believed to have taken place between 10 p.m. Jan. 1 and 5 a.m. Jan. 2. Chief Jim Theriault said two people broke a window at the side of the building to gain entrance, then damaged an interior door to get access to a safe. About $300 damage was caused to the window and door, but the safe was not damaged. He said there are two suspects in the case.

Accident

• A deer ran into a 1998 Dodge pickup truck driven by Alston Roberts, 54, of Andover, at 4 a.m. Dec. 31 as he was traveling north on Route 17. The deer was killed. Roberts’ truck sustained $800 damage.
