PARIS – Students of the Month for January at Oxford Hills Comprehensive High School are Josh Straiton, freshman; Roger Derby, sophomore; Stacy Toothaker, junior; and Heather Hudanish, senior.
Each month, the high school staff members nominate students who they feel have “made a difference in their classroom.”
The program is sponsored by the Oxford Hills Rotary Club and coordinated through the Oxford Hills Community Education Exchange.
The four students were praised for their commitment to their academic success. They also are involved with such projects as the yearbook, after-school employment and sport teams.
The students’ names and picture will be placed on a plaque that hangs in the hallway across from the school library. In addition, each month the four students have “pizza with the principal” and on Jan. 4 they were honored at a Rotary breakfast.
