AUBURN – As Mainers face the financial burden of heating their homes this winter, local blues musicians are taking notice. The Maine Blues Society and Clear Channel Radio will sponsor a three-day fundraising benefit for fixed-income heating assistance Jan. 20- 22 at three different venues.
Friday, Jan. 20, Kevin and the Steeldrivers will perform from 8 p.m. to midnight at the Midnight Blues Club and Restaurant on Court Street in Auburn. Saturday, the 50/50 Blues Band will take center stage at the Midnight Blues club in Waterville. This will also be an 8 p.m. to midnight show. Then on Sunday, three bands will perform from 1 p.m. until 6 p.m. at Rockland’s Time Out Pub.
Clear Channel Radio will do a live broadcast. Performing will be Blue Steel Express, Rattleboxx and the Blind Albert Blues Band.
