Club to elect
MEXICO – The Mexico Trailblazers will meet at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 18, at the Town Hall. Anyone wishing to join may do so at the meeting or by contacting Nick Brown at 364-8665 or Gary Wentzell at 364-8110.
The Mexico Trail Blazers will hold nomination of officers and elections in February. Positions to be filled are vice president, trail master, treasurer and secretary. If the positions cannot be filled, the club will no longer be able to function.
Those who ride a snowmobile and live in the Mexico area are invited to go to the Mexico Town Hall at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 1, to show support or join the club. For information on joining the club, call Brown.
Society speaker
RUMFORD – The Rumford Historical Society will meet at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 18, in the conference room of the Municipal Building, Congress Street. Speaker will be Dr. Bill Hersey, who will talk on the “History of Photography.” He will show some of his old cameras. Anyone interested is invited.
At the business meeting President Bill Weston will give an update on the sales of the reprinted book, “The Pictorial History of Rumford/Mexico,” and on the “History of Rumford” by Jack Leane and Elliot Burns.
