SABATTUS – Bishop Edward C. O’Leary Council, Knights of Columbus, sponsored a children’s Christmas party at Our Lady of the Rosary Hall recently.

Youth Chairman Daniel Bouffard was in charge, with help from other members, plus Boy Scout Troop 110 members, who are earning their family merit badge.

Bouffard and his sons purchased gifts for 19 boys and 17 girls from age 1 to 10. On the day of the party, Bouffard and the Scouts wrapped and decorated the tree and hall. A fellow knight, Fern Langlois, and his family served coffee and doughnuts for the adults.

Children made their own decorations and heard the story of Saint Nicholas. Santa Claus (Knight Mike Foster) arrived and handed out presents and mittens, donated to the Knights from the parish.

Candy, cake and ice cream were served and a Noah’s Ark was raffled. Thirty-six children attended.
