AUBURN – A new American flag was donated to the East Auburn Elementary School by New Auburn American Legion Post 153.

Last year, Edward Little High School and Washburn Elementary School received new flags from Post 153. The post does community service in the area. especially for veterans.

Post members are always accepting donations of combs, tissues, toothpaste, deodorant and other items needed by those serving in Iraq. Call 782-1118 for more information.

Past Androscoggin County Commander Ray Lemieux and Post Americanism Officer Richard Doucette displayed the proper way to unfold the flag.
