NEW YORK (AP) – Two men were found dead in the snow in a Brooklyn lot after temperatures in the city dipped below 15 degrees, police said.

While the medical examiner had yet to determine the cause of death, it was suspected the apparently homeless men had been unable to withstand the freezing temperatures over the weekend, said police Sgt. Kevin Farrell.

Police were hoping to identify the men, believed to be in their 50s or 60s, using their fingerprints. They were found on Sunday afternoon in a vacant lot in the Greenpoint section.
