LEWISTON – Paul C. Moody, 82, a resident of 22 Oakwood Drive, Turner, died Tuesday morning, Jan. 17, at St. Marguerite d’Youville Pavilion.

He was born in Randolph, Nov. 25, 1923, the son of Elmer and Ida (Moody) Moody.

Mr. Moody attended Gardiner schools, and was a graduate of Gardiner High School. Following school, he was an Army veteran of World War II having landed in Normandy during the D-Day invasion.

He was married for over 60 years, to the former Helen I. Martin, on July 26, 1946. He was an independent trucker for most of his career retiring in 1986. Following retirement, he enjoyed travelling throughout the country as well as spending time with his wife and family.

Survivors include his wife, Helen, of Turner; four sons, Timothy Moody, of Turner, Paul Moody Jr., of Elk River, Minn.., Bradley and Richard Moody, both of Richmond; one daughter, Pamela Ginpp, of Louisville, Texas; 12 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
