TOPSFIELD, Mass. – Adeline F. (Crafts) Lodge passed away peacefully Sunday evening, Jan. 15, at the Masconomet Health Care Center.

She was born on Nov. 5, 1907, in North Jay, the daughter of the late Leroy and Nellie Crafts. She attended school in North Jay and was a longtime member of the Liberty Rebekah Lodge in Auburn, as well as the North Jay and Auburn granges.

After school she enjoyed her job playing the piano to the silent movies. She lived in Brunswick, Dover and Yarmouth, until 1995, when she moved to Massachusetts to be near her daughter and her grandchildren. The most important part of her life was her family. For 50 years she cared for her severely disabled son.

She greatly enjoyed all of her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She loved to knit, crochet and hook rugs and was a longtime avid Red Sox fan. She was very proud that she was a direct descendent of Gov. William Bradford, first governor of Massachusetts Bay Colony.

She is survived by her sister, Ruth A. Lodge, of Gorham; her brother, Bradford Crafts, of North Jay; her daughter and son-in-law, Carolyn and Richard Rawson, of Beverly, Mass.; her grandchildren, David Rawson and his wife, Susan, of Worcester, Mass., Anne Rawson, of Derry, N.H., Steven Rawson and his wife, Joanne, of Jacksonville, Fla., Linda Rawson, of Beverly, Mass., Barbara Dunn and her husband, Brian, of Manchester, N.H., Carol Rawson, of Beverly, Mass. and Mary Rawson, of North Reading, Mass.; as well as seven great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her husband, Morris E. Lodge of Gorham, her son, Leroy C. Lodge and her grandson, Alan B. Rawson.
