CHESTERVILLE – Gail F. Hastings, 59, of Chesterville, died of cancer on Jan. 16, at her home, surrounded by family and friends.
She was born in Norwalk, Conn., Oct. 28, 1946, the daughter of Charles and Diana Chiappinelli.
She enjoyed the company of others, especially during the mushroom season and loved going to Marden’s. She often volunteered for Skills USA VICA and loved the trips to Kansas City.
She worked as a waitress at the Brickyard Cafe and as a transfer attendant for the town of Chesterville. As a domestic engineer most of her life, she gave all of her love and dedication to her children.
She is survived by her sisters, Pat and Rose; her children, Bobby, Chris, Susan, Patty and Eddie; her many step-children; her grandson, L.J.; and her many step-grandchildren, family and friends. She will be forever remembered by those who knew her.
She was predeceased by her parents, her brother, Charles Chiappinelli, Jr. and her husband, Edward (Bub) Hastings.
