NORWAY – The Norway Trackers Snowmobile Club is preparing for its annual Oxford Hills Sno-fest Weekend, a major fundraising event, on Saturday and Sunday, Jan. 28 and 29.

Many members canvased the region for sponsors to provide trophies. There will be a number of classes for the ice and snow tracks used for the drag racing on Saturday and the Radar Runs on Sunday. Grudge matches will be available for $5 a run.

The club will sponsor an Antique Snowmobile Show on Sunday. There is no entry fee for the machines, which must be at least 25 years old. There will be trophies awarded to the spectator favorites.

The Trackers are lining up gallons of chowder and chili for Sunday’s Chowder Fest in the clubhouse. The “All You Can Eat” meal will include beverage, bread and desert for $6. Larry White’s “Hamburger Hotel” will be on the ice all weekend.

There are several access trails off the club trails to Norway Lake, next to routes 117 and 118 out of down town Norway.

For those who wish to ride in, there is gas available nearby. There is free parking for those who wish to drive to the event.

The Trackers Club uses all proceeds from the events for grooming and maintenance of the Norway trail system.
