ISLAMABAD, Pakistan (AP) – Pakistani security officials on Thursday named an al-Qaida operative on the U.S. most-wanted list and a close relative of the terror network’s No. 2 leader Ayman al-Zawahri as among at least three top operatives suspected killed in a U.S. missile strike last week.

A security official, speaking on condition of anonymity because he’s not authorized to speak to media, said Egyptian Midhat Mursi was among the three top al-Qaida figures who were present in the village at the time of the attack and whose bodies were believed to have been taken away by sympathizers.

Mursi, also known as Abu Khabab al-Masri, ran an al-Qaida training camp and has a $5 million reward on his head.

Pakistani authorities previously said that at least four foreign militants were killed in last Friday’s attack in Damadola village near the Afghan border.
