We have lost a legend in Maine sports, and all the Sun Journal can muster up is a small photo on the front page (Jan. 14). That is why I went out and bought a Portland Press Herald.

Whoever is choosing the Sun Journal’s front-page stories isn’t doing a very good job. I don’t believe that anyone cared about what the sisters of an alleged murderer said. Of course they think he’s innocent.

I want to read about someone who means something. Frank Fixaris meant something to all sports fans, and he deserves much more attention than the Sun Journal has given him.

The Sun Journal has dropped the ball on this one.
