LEWISTON – Jeanne d’Arc L. Caron, 81, of 14 Atwood St., passed away Thursday, Jan. 19, at her home.

She was born in Lewiston, July 30, 1924, the daughter of Arthur and Germaine Bisson Frechette. She was educated in Lewiston schools and completed Acme Business College.

She was married Nov. 11, 1946, to Robert Caron. She worked years ago in local shoe shops and for the Raytheon Electronics Co., and was a member of Holy Family Parish.

She enjoyed watching her grandchildren play sports, playing cards, jigsaw puzzles, trips to Mohegan Sun, beano, candlepin bowling with the Starlite League and 10-pin bowling with the Lewiston Senior Citizens league.

She is survived by her husband, Robert, of Lewiston; a daughter, Ann-Marie Caron, of Lewiston; two sons, Michael Caron and wife, Alison, of Northford, Conn. and Paul Caron, of Lewiston; a daughter-in-law, Romana Caron, of Lewiston; five grandchildren, Nicholas Caron, Jennifer Lane and her husband, Jared, and Kimberly, Robert and Christopher Caron; two sisters, Aldea Breton, of Poland and Yolande Godin, of Florida; three brothers, Andre Frechette of Florida and David and Germain Frechette, both of Lewiston.
