TOGUS – Robert Miller, 63, of 49 Sedgely Road, Greene, passed away peacefully early morning on Thursday, Jan. 18, at Togus VA Hospital with his loving family by his side.

He was born in Brooklyn, N.Y., on Sept. 3, 1942, the son of William Miller and Blanche Harding. He served in the U.S. Navy for 10 years aboard the USS Enterprise and fought in the Vietnam War. He met his loving wife, Georgette Coulombe, while stationed at the Brunswick Naval Air Station and was married New Year’s Eve, 1960.

He retired from the Navy as an E6 and resided in Maine to raise his family. He opened several businesses; Bob’s Texaco, Lewiston, Bob’s Service Center, Auburn, and his current business, Videotronics, Lewiston. He was a member of the Jaycees and also had his pilot’s license and loved to fly. He enjoyed all sports, especially baseball, and was a pitcher for the Senior Men’s League in Brunswick and played for the “Dodger’s” team.

Most of all, he found pleasure in going to work at Videotronics. We extend our gratitude to all the customers who were so patient with him during his illness.

He leaves behind and will be greatly missed by his wife of 45 years, Georgette Miller, of Greene; his son, Christopher Miller and his wife, Tracy, of Greene; daughter, Patricia Morin and partner, Dan McManus, of Greene; daughter, Irene Pergamo and husband, Joseph, of California; grandsons, Zachery and James Morin, both of Greene, Christopher Miller, Richard Gagne, and Francis Gagne of Greene as well as Evan Pergamo of California; his brother, Daniel Harding and his wife, Kathy, of Pennsylvania; sister, Joan Friscella and husband, Vincent, of Pennsylvania; nieces, Shannon Harding, and Kathy Friscella, nephew, Joseph Friscella, of Pennsylvania; and many extended family members and friends.

A sincere thank-you and appreciation to all the staff at the Togus VA Hospital for the wonderful care and comfort to Bob and his family.
