Once again Gov. John Baldacci amazes me with his unethical way of thinking. He seals a deal with Citco, a Venezuelan company whose country’s leader is considered a tyrant and a menace to society, to provide oil for low-income families. Does this stop Baldacci? No, he embraces the Venezuelans just like President Bill Clinton embraced the Palestinian terrorist Yasser Arafat.

What is Baldacci going to do next, trade the remaining parts of Maine Yankee to Iran so it can make nuclear energy? And, in exchange, he can get more oil for the needy.

I am still wondering and waiting for the governor to help the working class for a change – the ones who are feeling the pinch in their oil tanks and at the pumps on their way to work every day.

Everyone blames the oil companies for the high prices, but in reality, it’s the state and federal taxes. If only the governor cared about all the Maine people and not just a select group, working-class people would have a few extra bucks in their pockets at the end of each week. Then we could turn our heat up a little bit more or go for a Sunday drive.

Baldacci should keep up the good work because thousands on welfare are counting on him. And I will continue to cross out the days until voters evict him from the Blaine House.
