AUBURN – A memorial mass celebrating the life of Julie E. “Rita” Dower who died Jan. 13 was held Thursday morning at Sacred Heart Church under the direction of Pinette Funeral Home with the Rev. Kevin Martin serving as celebrant. Rita’s neice, Constance Keep read both the Old and New Testament readings as well as composing words of remembrance about her Aunt recited by Father Martin.The music team of Shelley Harris, soloist and Diane Biron organist performed the following music;”We Walk by Faith,” “Shepard Me Oh God,” also “Amazing Grace,” the “Eye Has Not Seen,” “Ava Maria,” and concluding song was, “On Eagles Wings.” A reception of fellowship followed the service at the Village Inn in Auburn. A private burial will take place at the Maine Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Augusta
