HEBRON – A surprise 30th wedding anniversary party was held on Nov. 13 for Richard C. and Joan Deans of Hebron. The party was given and hosted by their two children, Richard and Julie Deans, and was held at the South Paris Fire Station.
The couple was married on Nov. 22, 1975, at the Hebron Baptist Church, with the Rev. Robert Crist performing the ceremony.
Original wedding attendants present were Adele Schwaner Charity, maid of honor, Miriam Deans Collins and Leah Deans Davis, bridesmaids, George Deans, best man, and Fred Schwaner and John Deans, groomsmen. Also in attendant was mother of Mr. Deans, Rachel Deans.
A buffet lunch was provided by the ladies of the South Paris Auxiliary. A three-layer cake was made and served by Gail Trundy of Hebron.
Daughter of the couple, Julie, presented them with four memory notebooks with pictures of things they have done as a family. One notebook was put together with the help of both sides of the family and the teachers Mrs. Deans works with.
