LEWISTON – A West Paris man was arrested following a crash on Sabattus Street early Saturday morning that destroyed his car when it collided with a utility pole and a tree.
Shane Kimball, 32, of Moorse Road, West Paris, was arrested on charges of operating under the influence and operating after suspension, after he reportedly lost control of his car while traveling south on Sabattus Street around 1 a.m. Saturday morning.
Police reports state Kimball was intoxicated when he veered off the road, striking a Central Maine Power pole and a tree in front of 1338 Sabattus St. A passenger in the car, Danny D. Robert, 31, of Lewiston, reported a minor injury to his hand.
The car, a 1996 Saturn coupe, sustained $10,000 in damage.
